Yoga is medicine for body and soul. It heals the body and calms the soul. Yes, I can say this for sure, because before starting yoga I had health issues like muscle pain and depression. During the pandemic I was diagnosed with sciatica and neck pain issues. Day by day, I felt very depressed and stressed. Of course, these are one of the most common mental health problems for most people caused by pandemic.
I heard about yoga and its benefits, and started to learn more about it. Fortunately, I began my first yoga session with one of the kindest people I met in my life, Jasmine Abdul Karim. She is my yoga instructor, coach and mentor. It has been almost two years since I am practicing yoga on regular basis and as time passes I feel positive changes in myself and in my life . Thankfully I don’t have the sciatica pain anymore and yoga controlled my mental health too. I rarely feel depressed anymore because I am taking the best prescription for soul (yoga).
In conclusion I can say that through yoga I gained confidence, self control, happiness and relief. and I want to thank Jasmine for teaching me to inhale and exhale through all the poses. Keep doing this beautiful job.
