ABOUT CLAY AND WATER YOGA
Clay and Water Yoga was originally founded as a space for sisters to learn yoga.
CLAY AND WATER YOGA was founded and located in Orange County, California. We uphold the Abrahamic teaching that we are made from clay and water. The Creator gave us breath, and the ability to be shaped, like clay and water. Like a potter making pottery, we explore yoga as a way to shape our bodies and minds. Our bodies are ever changing vessels for our spirit.
Breath, Body and Mind are miracles. We tune in to these dynamic aspects of existence to become closer to the Creator through asana (poses), pranayama (breath work), and dhyana (mediation).
ABOUT YOGA
Yoga is an ancient discipline from India. It is highly effective in revitalizing the mind, body and spirit connection. Yoga teaches focus, stability, confidence, steadiness, strength and flexibility. Yoga can be practiced by anyone of any age and physical condition. Yoga means "union", "to join", "to yoke". Yoga is the "union" of individual consciousness with universal consciousness.
Yoga can be attributed to increasing ones fulfillment and satisfaction as a human being existing in the world. It can also be attributed to improving the physical and mental condition of the person, if practiced consistently.
A consistent Yoga practice shows most improvement in the physical and mental spheres of one's life. It is recommended to attend class regularly to receive the most benefits of this historic discipline.
ABOUT ISLAMIC YOGA
Contrary to popular belief, Yoga and Islam hold many similar aspects. Through studies with pure intention, the practitioner/yogi/muslim can develop an awareness of themselves as a natural living being. We are creations of the God.
